An application for a Development Consent Order to build two new nuclear reactors at Sizewell was submitted in May 2020. Feedback has resulted in EDF bringing forward more potential changes to their proposal which the Parish Council have consistently opposed due to the direct impacts on Kelsale-cum-Carlton.

There will be a limited ‘virtual’ 30 day consultation on EDF’s proposed changes which we are advised relate to some elements of their existing transport and environmental proposals.

All EDF’s materials in support of their new proposals will be available online from 18th November 2020, or you can request a hardcopy of the consultation document or a USB stick version using the contact details below.

Given the previous consultation materials it is recommended that you do request your copy in one of the above formats, as the Parish Council will be unable to make available copies in the Village Hall, due to Covid-19 health and wellbeing considerations.

EDF are also providing a ‘virtual exhibition’ online at their website for the duration of the Consultation.

Your views can be submitted online or you can request a printed response form via the contact details given below.

Telephone and email mechanisms, staffed by EDF will operate to deal with all questions that you may have.
