Sizewell C Public Consultation commences today

Wednesday 18th November 2020
Sizewell Information Office, 48-50 High Street, Leiston IP16 4EW

There will be a limited 'virtual' 30 day consultation on EDF's proposed changes which we are advised relate to some elements of their existing transport and environmental proposals. All EDF's materials in support of their new proposals will be available online from 18th November 2020, or you can request a hardcopy of the...

2020 Remembrance – No formal ceremony due to Covid-19

Wednesday 11th November 2020     10:45 - 11:15
Fromus Square, Saxmundham, IP17 1DD
Unfortunately due to the imposition of a lockdown in England the previously planned commemoration in Fromus Square will no longer take place. Individuals wishing to commemorate the day by laying a wreath on the memorial during their shopping or exercise time, may do so and it will be subsequently secured to the railings as usual. Obviously all of the organisation involved in the Remembrance event regret that these steps have to be taken in order to safeguard public health and wellbeing and encourage individuals to mark their respect appropriately. We Will Remember Them.

Recreation Ground, Bridge Street, Kelsale Cum Carlton, IP17 2PB
Kelsale-cum-Carlton Parish Council acknowledged at their meeting on the 26th August that it would not be responsible to host the annual bonfire and fireworks during 2020. The decision was taken with regard to the current COVID-19 pandemic and the latest information and advice from the UK Government and East Suffolk Council. As a consequence the Council requests that no bonfire materials be left on the recreation ground or the surrounding area. They further request that businesses and residents dispose of garden waste and other flammable materials normally used for this purpose legally, sensibly and with consideration to neighbours and the...
