Sizewell C conclude surveying of the proposed SLR route

Sizewell C Co. are to begin surveying the land to the north of  Kelsale-cum-Carlton, earmarked for the so called ‘Sizewell Link Road’ should the proposed new Nuclear Reactors at Sizewell Beach get the go-ahead in the next year or so. EDF ecological surveying starts today through to end of June…

Contractors working for Sizewell C Co are undertaking a programme of surveys. Starting week commencing Monday 29 March, teams of ecologists will be out doing a variety of ecological surveys, including for bats, great crested newts and breeding birds. Surveys will take place at a variety of times of day but often very early in the morning and in the evening (including after dark for some bat and great crested newt surveys). MAKE YOUR VIEWS KNOWN TODAY An application for a Development Consent Order to build two new nuclear reactors at Sizewell was submitted in May 2020. Feedback has resulted in EDF bringing forward more potential changes to their proposal which the Parish Council have consistently opposed due to the direct impacts on Kelsale-cum-Carlton.
