Local Police have become aware of incidences of e-scooters being used in public places in coastal Suffolk.

The Parish Council are providing the following information for residents to avoid any unfortunate incidents.

Although the sale, purchase & possession of an e-scooter is not illegal, their use in public places in England & Wales remains so and in breach of legislation under the Road Traffic Act 1988.

In anticipation of such incidences possibly increasing over the summer, with holiday makers seeing an e-scooter as a quick & convenient way of getting around a holiday location, Suffolk Constabulary has produced a poster explaining the Law. They have been using these posters at public engagements in an effort to try & educate the public.
