With a heavy heart the Parish Council agreed that it would be irresponsible to hold the annual bonfire and fireworks in 2020. The decision was taken at the recent Parish Council meeting following consideration of advice from both the UK Government and East Suffolk Council.
The Parish Council ask all residents and local business not to place any potential bonfire material on the Recreation Ground as is normal, but instead dispose of it legally, responsibly and with consideration to neighbours and the environment.
The Parish Council hope to be able to welcome back everyone in 2021 and in the interim ask people to be careful, considerate and safe with any private firework parties they may have or attend.
