Suffolk Highways are planning to carry out pre surface dressing road repairs and surface dressing along A12 Main Road, Kelsale Cum Carlton (from Town Farm Lane to Main Road) and A12 Main Road, Yoxford (from A12 Main Road to Brook Street). The works are programmed to take place overnight between 8pm and 5am to ensure that they can carry out works safely.
Pre surface dressing road repairs – 12 to 14 May 2022
Surface dressing – 18 to 21 May 2022
Installation of road markings and road studs – 23 to 26 May 2022.
For the duration of the road closure, traffic will be diverted via A12, B1122, B1069, A1094, A12 and vice versa. As they plan roadworks in advance, they schedule extra days to allow for bad weather or other delays beyond their control. If they need to make major changes to work dates, they will update the information signs on site.
When Highways close the road and put a diversion in place, the route needs to be accessible to vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Highways say they make diversions as clear as possible by placing appropriate signing along the route. The latest updates on their works can be found on their website.
